If you have a car that gets at least 20 mpg and you live within 20 miles of work (or simply drive less than 40 miles per day), then you will use one gallon of gasoline to get to work, and another gallon to get back home.
Basically, that’s 2 gallons per day.

Now, this doesn’t include all the other running around you do, just back and forth to work.
However, that is all we are considering with Madame Pelosi too.

So you use, at most, 2 gallons of fuel per day.
10 gallons per week.
500 gallons per year (we’ll give you 2 weeks off for vacation).
If you start working when you turn 18 and retire at 68, that is 50 years of work.
50 years of work at 500 gallons per year, comes to 25,000 gallons in your entire life.

Nancy Pelosi flies a Boeing 757 to work.
A Boeing 757 has a range of 5500 miles.
Nancy Pelosi lives in San Francisco and works in Washington D.C.
It is at least 2500 miles, one way, from SF to DC.
Or, at least 5000 miles round trip.
Accounting for storms, landing approaches, etc, we can conclude that it takes a tank of fuel for one roundtrip from San Francisco to Washington D.C.
A tank of fuel on a Boeing 757 is 92,000 pounds.
At sea level and at room temperature, 92,000 pounds of jet fuel is 13,731 gallons.
So, Nancy Pelosi uses about 13,731 gallons of fuel in each trip from home to work and back home again.
Or, at least, 27,000 gallons for 2 trips.

Nancy Pelosi uses more fuel (27,000 gallons), in two trips, traveling back and forth to work than most people will (25,000 gallons) in their entire lives.

And, Nancy Pelosi is trying to “save the planet”!!!

Plantlife NEEDS CO2 (carbon dioxide) to survive.
Plants take in CO2 and release oxygen.
So we NEED plants to survive.

So how much plantlife do we have in this country?
The USA is about 3.8 million square miles.
One square mile is 640 acres.
So, 3.8 million square miles is 2,432,000,000 acres.
One third of the US is forested.
One third of 2.4 billion acres is about 811 million acres.
An acre of trees consumes about 2.6 tons of CO2 per year.
So, 811 million acres of trees consumes 2,108,600,000 tons of CO2 per year.
That is about 37% of our total CO2 output.

The United States also has about 900,000,000 acres of farmland.
Note: grass (or pasture) consumes more CO2 per acre than trees.
Our farmlands are fairly evenly divided between cropland and pastureland, with small amount wooded, and very small percentage is homes and other farm buildings.
Now, while croplands are not always covered with crops, pastureland is always covered with something “green”.
And, since grasslands (and croplands) consume more CO2 per acre than trees do, let’s call this a wash and say that each acre of “farmland” also consumes about 2.6 tons of CO2 per acre per year.
So, 900 million acres of “farmland”, at 2.6 tons per acre, consumes another 2,340,000,000 tons of CO2 per year.
That is about 41% of our total CO2 output.

So, our forests and farmland combined consume 4,448,600,000 tons out of 5,752,289,000 tons of CO2 produced each year.
That is about 77% of our total CO2 production.

The remaining 23%, or 1,303,689,000 tons, is consumed by all the rest of the vegetation growing in our cities, towns, municipalities, that are NOT forests or farmland.
And, keep in mind, the lawn in your backyard consumes more CO2 per year than the same size yard full of trees.

But here’s an even bigger truth.
All of North America (9,540,000 square miles) and South America (6,890,000 square miles) combined is 16,430,000 square miles.
At 640 acres per square mile, that comes to 10,515,200,000 acres.
If 77% of this is covered with forests and farmland (as the US is), that is 8,096,704,000 acres.
This 8 billion acres of vegetation consumes, at 2.6 tons per acre per year, over 21 billion tons of CO2 per year.

In summary, both North and South America combined produces less than 8 billion tons of CO2 per year.
Whereas, the forests and farmlands in North and South America combined CONSUME over 21 billion tons of CO2 per year.

Looks like the rest of the world “owes” the New World some “carbon credits”.

At that time, candidate Obama ridiculed and mocked Dick Cheney and said he would bring the troops home “immediately”.

In 2009, now President Obama, made the decision to bring a substantial number of troops home from Iraq starting in August 2009.
August 2009 happens to be right in the middle of the “one to two year” timeframe as proposed by Vice President Cheney back in January 2008.
Obama’s plan calls for leaving between one third and one half (substantial??) of the troops in Iraq for some time.
And when asked (sheepishly) by the news media when those troops might be coming home, Obama’s reply was, “that depends on the conditions on the ground”.
I would call “one third to one half” a “substantial” number of troops.

And when asked what his plans were for Afghanistan, well, that took him a bit longer to decide.
And now we have his answer, an additional 30,000 more American troops will be sent into Afghanistan along with several thousand more NATO troops.
And when does he expect them to come home?
“That depends on the conditions on the ground.”
D’OH!

So, the next time someone asks you if there isn’t anything you like about Obama, you can reply, “Yes. I like the way he’s implementing the “Cheney Plan” in Iraq and Afghanistan”.

And the next time someone asks you if there isn’t anything you like about Joe Biden, you can reply, “Yes. He makes Dan Quayle look like a frikken GENIUS!”

Under this new plan, young couples wishing to procreate an indeterminate lifeform (have a baby), will receive fair compensation based on the age, condition, and the consumption of valuable State resources of any elderly family member who is no longer able to fend for themselves.

The amount of the government rebate will be fixed according to a sliding scale.
Older and more prescription dependent codgers will garner the highest amounts.

Special “Bonuses” will be paid for those submitting codgers in targeted groups, such as smokers, alcohol drinkers, persons 10 pounds over their government prescribed weight, and any member of the Republican Party.

Smaller bonuses will be given for codgers who consume beef, soda, fried foods, potato chips, lattes, whole milk, dairy products, bacon, Brussel sprouts, or Girl Scout Cookies.

Anyone submitting codgers who meet either of these 2 focus groups:
1) over 65, overweight, drinks, smokes, eats meat, and watches FoxNews
2) anyone who requires 24-hour medical care
will have their names placed into a drawing for a FREE lifeform delivery.

As in the Cash for Clunkers program, this program will render all codgers useless for resale or parts harvesting by draining all body fluids from the codger and then putting in a 40% sodium silicate and 60% water mix. The sodium silicate is also known as liquid glass.
A defibrilator will be used to bring the old codger back to consciousness which will force the sodium silicate solution coursing through their veins causing arteries and all internal organs to be shredded by the liquid glass rendering them useless for after-market organ harvesters.

Under the “Cash for Codgers” (aka D.I.E.) program, pulling the plug on old grandma was never so easy, or so rewarding!

The Democrats say we have no leader.
That’s not surprising, the Democrats are the party of followers.
They NEED a leader.
The Democrats YEARN for a DICTATOR.

We are the party of LEADERS.
We are the entrepreneurs.
We are the risk takers.
We are the ones who continue to push into the unknown and move mankind into the future.
Each and every one us is able to stand up and lead.

We are like those men pinned down on Omaha Beach in 1944.
They didn’t wait for some general to come along and tell them what to do.
